As in the industrial revolution, the world has entered a major transformation process with the introduction of the internet into our lives. Digitalization, on the other hand, is the process of transforming digitalized resources into new income, growth, and operational results that will add value to the company with an integrated information technology infrastructure. Digitalization, which came to the fore more during the Covid-19 pandemic that the whole world experienced in 2020, is used to develop new business models, combine information, digital technologies, and company resources with new combinations for unique customer experiences, create new products and services, and increase the effectiveness of company resources. Organizations around the world have entered a digital transformation, and this transformation requires adapting to new conditions and expectations and being ready for changes. Even the most successful organizations face serious difficulties in this transformation. For this reason, scientific studies on digitalization and digital transformation are becoming important for decision-makers as well as academics.
The first of our congress was held on October 8-9, 2021 under the name of the 1st International Congress on Digital Business, Management and Economics (ICDBME2021) with the presentation of a total of 100 papers in four different virtual halls simultaneously. Due to the positive feedback from the participants and its tangible contributions to the field, the second of our congress, ICDBME2022, was hosted by Tarsus University Faculty of Applied Sciences in partnership with Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Political Sciences, and the third and subsequent congresses were hosted by Tarsus University Faculty of Applied Sciences.
Our congress is an international congress within the scope of the associate professorship criteria determined by the Interuniversity Board Presidency, and it is expected that ICDBME2025, which will be held for the fourth time this year, will make significant contributions to the field as in previous years.
